For the family
If your spouse and children are part of the plan, you need a figure for your actual household and a clear view of the future rights of each person.
ARGENTINA · NEWLY ANNOUNCED
Argentina has announced an investment route to citizenship, but applications are not yet open. For families and business owners, the question now is whether the eventual status fits their plans – and which of the two capital routes would make sense.
01 · WHY ARGENTINA MAY MATTER
Could this new option serve your family, a future home base, or the next chapter after a business sale? The real questions are who may qualify, what rights citizenship would bring, and how your capital would be used. The announcement offers a starting point; the final rules will decide.
If your spouse and children are part of the plan, you need a figure for your actual household and a clear view of the future rights of each person.
When capital is being redeployed, a permanent contribution and a bond with unpublished terms present very different economic decisions.
A South American citizenship option may broaden the geographic plan. Its specific advantages require assessment against the final rules.
02 · TWO ANNOUNCED CAPITAL ROUTES
The government has announced a nonrefundable contribution and a dedicated bond. The amounts are official, but total costs and bond terms have yet to be published.
Nonrefundable contribution to the National Treasury for the principal applicant.
Which government and external charges will apply?
Subscription to a public bond to be created specifically for this program.
Term, holding period, redemption and liquidity are not specified in the cited government announcement.
03 · FAMILY AND GENERATIONS
Separate contributions have been announced for spouses and children. The total depends on ages and family composition; the full evidence rules are still to come.
Announced individual contribution; a separate bond route is also proposed.
Announced additional Treasury contribution and evidence of the relevant category.
Announced additional Treasury contribution and evidence of relationship.
The official example totals USD 500,000 for a principal applicant, spouse and two minor children. This is a contribution illustration, not a binding all-in price.
04 · STATUS AND GOVERNMENT DECISION
No end-to-end processing time has been published. Decree 524/2025 gives the immigration authority 30 business days to decide after receiving the agency report; that does not include the earlier review.
The government published the program plan and both capital mechanisms on 2 October 2026.
Applications are expected during Q4 2026. An exact date and complete operating rules have not yet been published.
The announced agency will examine identity, lawful source of funds, financial and criminal history and other risks.
Following its assessment, the agency will make a recommendation; the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones is to approve or reject each application.
05 · THE COMPLETE COST PICTURE
USD 350,000 or USD 800,000 is a starting amount, not a full cost. Family contributions, government charges, evidence and execution costs determine the real commitment.
06 · WHO BENEFITS FROM AN EARLY REVIEW
We place Argentina alongside your existing options: What should another citizenship make possible? Who in the family should be included? Which capital commitment is acceptable? We identify the unresolved rules before any implementation engagement begins.
Relevant if you wish to widen family and mobility planning and prepare a disciplined decision once final rules are issued.
Premature if you must apply immediately, need a fixed processing period or already regard the bond as a liquid, redeemable investment.
07 · OFFICIAL BASIS
